Hi, how has your week been, the team at Australian Rail Training, (ART) have as usual been flat out, trish is busy working on Safety Management system, Bernie has been busy working from Parkes to Broken Hill and back again for G&W, and i have almost completed a free report to be posted on our site about how to become a Train Driver........ not to steal Bernies Thunder, as i know he has been working on a similar project. Trish was a great assistance with LVR audit from ITSRR and heard on the grapevine that they were very pleased with her assistance, in fact Both Trish and Bernie are over at Cowra today, for the AGM. Like to thank the RTBU for presenting our Training Company to the members at the Divisional Council meeting just gone, well recieved and thank you Alex and your team for supporting ART. The RTBU knows that they have the full support of of Australian Rail training at all times. We are off to Sydney this week to give a presentaion on rail operations in Australia this week, again Bernie and Trish will be presenting, (dont know how many hours they have in their day). We are that much closer to moving into our new premises at Parkes, the place has been painted, new windows installed, and the water and power added, all good.... oh, if you ever get the chance, ask Trish about our special guest there, seems we had a border that no one knew about, a squatter. lol, but gone now, whew......The place will look a treat, new tables, chairs, photocopiers and such all ready for their new home, all will be welcomed at the opening, will let you know.
Well that and a lot more is happening around here and there, and we will keep you updated at all times, see you next posting

Bernie has put together a great edition of Artzine this month, with topics covering the expected heavy grain season, thru to his very insturctual view from the cab, outline the Drivers Assistants role and duties as an observer and being the drivers eyes while where required. Complete with excellent photos and the favorite section, "The Workhorses" this month featuring G&W's GM's. Great work Bernie. The safety tip has been an excellen addition to Artzine, highlightin a differnt Safety awarness tip each month.
Students continue to enroll into WWW.Australianrailtraining.com.au as a first step to gaining entry into the exciting field of Rail Logistics, Driver, Assistant, Protection officer. We will be offering Track Safety Awarness course at a location near you this month, just go to the website to find out the dates and location.

Hi all,
Finally we are one step closer to moving into our Parkes ofice with renovations starting last week. It is anticipated that we will be set up and moved in on the 1st of October.
We have had a high response to our online newsletter ARTzine with the number of subscribers now well over 200. There are quite a few people signed up to our 'Club Membership' program to become an Assistant Locomotive Driver.
During September and October we will be running Track Safety Awareness courses at both Parkes and in the Illawarra. If you are interested keep an eye on the training calendar on our website.
All our ARTzine subscribers have the opportunity to win a GM class clock this month, and our new enrolments for Certificate II - Rail Operations will receive a free 22 Class locomotive operators manual.
Thats all our news for today.
